Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
WhereToPodcast (“we,” “us,” or “the site”) operates a directory of podcast recording studios. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the directory, and we do not sell your personal information or show ads.
Information we collect
Account information. If you create an account to list or claim a studio, our authentication provider collects your name and email address so we can identify you and secure your account.
Studio listings. Studio owners and submitters provide business details such as the studio name, address, contact information, services, and photos. This information is published publicly on the site.
Reviews. When you submit a review, we collect the rating, your comments, and any name you choose to include. We also log the IP address associated with the submission to help us prevent spam and abuse. Reviews are moderated before they appear.
Basic usage data. Like most websites, our hosting provider processes standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect against malicious traffic.
How we use information
We use the information above to operate and improve the directory: to publish and manage studio listings, to display moderated reviews, to authenticate account holders, to respond to enquiries, and to keep the site secure and free of spam.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of third-party services to run the site: a hosting and content-delivery provider, an authentication provider for account sign-in, a mapping and geocoding service to place studios on the map, and map tile providers. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service to us, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to function, including session cookies that keep you signed in when you have an account. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can access, correct, or remove personal information you control directly on the site: studio owners can edit or remove their own listings from the dashboard, and reviews are moderated before they appear.
Children
The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
