RLG Productions is a full-service podcast studio in Birmingham, AL, built for creators who want more than an empty room to record in. Every booking includes hands-on production support — camera setup, audio engineering, and post-production editing handled by our team, not left to you. Our 300 sq ft studio runs on a podcast-grade audio chain (RodeCaster Pro and Shure SM7B mics) tuned for clean, broadcast-ready sound, paired with a Sony FX3/A7IV/A7C camera kit for video podcasts that look as good as they sound. Now in our third year, we've produced podcast episodes and social content across legal, nonprofit advocacy, and community/arts sectors. Whether you're recording a single episode or need a full production partner for your show, we bring the gear and the expertise to make it look and sound professional. What's included in a standard studio session?
Every session includes full production support — camera operation, audio engineering, and lighting are all handled for you. You show up and record; we handle the technical side and deliver polished, ready-to-publish content afterward.
Is an engineer/producer included, or do I run the session myself?
An engineer is included with every booking. You won't be left to manage recording equipment on your own — we run audio and camera setup throughout your session.
How many guests can the studio accommodate?
4 total.
Do you record video podcasts, or audio only?
Both. We record full video podcasts as well as audio-only sessions, depending on what your show needs.
Do you offer multi-camera setups?
Yes — our video setup uses a Sony FX3, A7IV, and A7C, giving you multi-angle coverage for a dynamic, professional-looking episode rather than a single static shot.
What microphones and cameras do you use?
Audio is captured on a RodeCaster Pro mixer with Shure SM7B microphones — the industry-standard broadcast mic. Video is shot on a Sony FX3, A7IV, and A7C kit.
I've never recorded a podcast before — can you guide me through it?
